GCSE Results

The results this year are some of the best the school has seen. Many students, including those listed below, are celebrating some outstanding success in a year where nearly 1 in 5 students achieved at least five top A* and A grades and nearly 80% of students passed with at least five good A* – C GCSE grades.

In line with the school’s focus on improving teaching and learning, maximising and monitoring progress and raising achievement, 16 key subject areas have improved their A* – C pass rate since 2014 by an average of 14%.

 

A Level Results

 

Key 2017 Headlines:

100% of students achieved a grade at A level

  • 100% of students taking vocational BTEC qualifications gained the top Distinction Star grade
  • 77% of students achieved grades of C or above at A level
  • 20% of students achieved the top grades of an A* or A at A level

Deborah Gosdenwho achieved an A* in Maths and A grades in French, History and the Extended Project Qualification.

Noah Malancinas who achieved an A* in IT, an A in Maths, a B in Further Maths, a C in the Extended Project Qualification and a D grade in Physics.

Harun Hussain who achieved an A grades in Maths and Further Maths and B grades in Economics and the Extended Project Qualification.

Evie Hewitt who achieved A grades in Photography and English Language and Literature, a B in the Extended Project Qualification and a C in Biology.
Kaite Leach who achieved an A* in Psychology, an A in Maths and a B in Biology.

Jack Smith who achieved A* grades in Mathematics and Further Maths and a C grade in Physics.

Samual Barnes who achieved an A* in Music, an A grade in English Language and Literature and a C in Government and Politics.
