The Free your Feet week from 30th Sept to the 4th October saw all students in Years 7 and 8 challenged to take a more active method of getting to school. Our surveys showed whilst 28% walked the full journey to and from school that week there was a 16% increase in the number of students who walked part of the way to school either by getting dropped off further away or getting off the bus earlier. We are always looking tio increase the physical activity levels of the students and hope students will continue with this in the future. The recommended drop off points can be found on the website and this will certainly help ease the congestion around the school gates. The winner of the £50 shopping voucher in the prize draw was Kayleigh Garvey in 8CB who walked for 153 minutes in her journeys to and from school that week. Well done Kayleigh.
