BUSHEY MEADS XMAS PRIZE DRAW

The draw took place on Thursday at the Year 7 & 8 student entertainment and all four prizes winners have been contacted and will be collecting their prizes before the end of term.  A big thank you to all who participated in this fund raising event and purchased tickets and well done to those lucky four winners.  Better luck to the rest of us for next year!  More importantly, we have raised over £1,000 to go towards equipment for the school which we would not otherwise be able to justify purchasing so all your support will be appreciated by all the students.

 YEAR 7 CHRSTMAS CARD COMPETITION

As part of the run up to Christmas a regular event for our new Year 7 students straight after half-term is to design and produce a Christmas card to be used as the official Bushey Meads School card.  As always, I was very impressed with this year’s effort – so much so that I found it too difficult to make a decision on 3rd place.  Hence three students shared the 3rd position – Ella Ward, Victoria Woolmer and Bryony Lipman.  Second place went to Karan Mavji and the overall winner was Gianna Buckridge.  May I use Gianna’s card to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

BM1 SCHOOL BUS – Changes to route as from 7 January

Please note that due to the alteration in height of the railway bridge in Eastbury Road the direction of this route has been revised.  Buses will now start at Eastbury Road and run via Hayling Rd, Gosforth Lane, Oxhey Drive, Prestwick Rd, Little Oxhey Lane and Carpenders Park to Bushey Meads.  Regular users of this bus have been given a flyer with the new timetable.  If anyone uses the bus on an ad-hoc basis then please refer to the revised timetable which can be found within Practical Information/Bus Service on this website or students can collect a copy from their key stage office or student window.

I wish you all a very peaceful Christmas,

 Kind regards

 Mr Douglas
