One of the benefits of being at Bushey Meads School is that we are part of an exciting and innovative Multi Academy Trust with Little Reddings Primary School.

Many of our teachers and students visit Little Reddings on a weekly basis and are involved in the learning journey, from nursery to Year 13 across both schools. Along with all curriculum areas, our English and maths teams, in particular, have worked collaboratively with their primary colleagues to learn more about the new Key Stage 2 curriculum and improve the transition from primary to secondary, ensuring appropriate stretch and challenge is provided at all levels.

epb20161209-2A number of colleagues have also been part of the exciting journey the primary school has been on over the last two years, supporting the Headteacher Miss Simmonds to improve the school. We are therefore delighted to report that, following the recent two day Ofsted inspection that took place last month under the new very rigorous inspection framework, we can now celebrate the fact that for every aspect of the school the team of three experienced inspectors rated the provision as GOOD. This is a huge testament to the hard work of the Headteacher Carly Simmonds, her leadership team and the wider staff, as well as the fantastic support of all parents, pupils, governors and Trustees who have been part of the journey of school improvement over the last two years.

The final inspection report was published officially yesterday with a celebration assembly for all pupils and staff, large banners placed around the school and every pupil going home with a balloon! It is well worth a read via the link below:
