Executive Principal’s Blog – 28 November 2014

Our students continue to take a very active role at Bushey Meads School. I was struck this morning in today’s Sycamore House Assembly led by our Head of House Mr Donovan. During the motivational assembly he highlighted the number of students who have either stepped up to leadership positions or achieved notable recognition during this term alone. Over 90 students were recognised – and these were students from only one of our seven Houses within the school!

On Monday of this week two of our Year 13 Senior Student Learning Consultants, John and Saskia, presented their detailed analysis of a very important whole school student survey that all the Student Learning Consultants completed with their peers earlier in the term. The survey focussed on determining which strategies and activities best support learning in lessons and which ones are not so effective. They will be sharing their findings in Main School assemblies next week and the information will be used to help to drive forward our continued work to build on the success of teaching and learning at Bushey Meads School and improve results at all levels. Thank you to all students who contributed.
